The Coffee Buyers’ Cupping Table at The Crown

As part of our path to making the coffee supply chain more transparent, we are hosting purchasing-focused cuppings at The Crown most Tuesdays at 11 a.m. At these cupping events, you can expect type samples from potential suppliers of green coffee, preshipment samples from suppliers we already work with, and fresh arrivals to our Oakland warehouse. Often times, you may find that the producers and exporters themselves are in attendance. The goal of these cuppings is to introduce coffee buyers to the people responsible for producing them, and of course to find these coffees a final home.

A member of our trading team will also be in attendance, and they can help you if you find a preshipment you’re particularly interested in buying. By attending, you’ll be one of the first people to taste these coffees before they arrive, before they’re contracted, and in some cases, before they’ve been introduced to the industry. That means that as a green buyer, you’ll also have the first opportunity to create a relationship with the producer and purchase their coffees.

Keep an eye on our Calendar for an updated list of Coffee Buyers’ Cupping Table events, and RSVP ahead of time to secure your spot at the table.
